XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 02/08

There’s nothing like skating on fresh corduroy after new fallen snow!!

We received an inch of snow last night, which has freshened up the trails beautifully. Conditions for skating are excellent, and the classic tracks are in great shape too. Tall Pines is the only trail with sub-optimal conditions, but it is still open to those who don’t mind skiing over pine needle here and there. Snow depth in the woods is 6 to 8 inches. Snow depth packed on most of the trails is 3 to 6 inches.

Today: Cloudy skies early, then partly cloudy this afternoon. High 32F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.

Tonight: Cloudy. A few flurries or snow showers possible. Low 24F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.

Tomorrow: Cloudy. Snow showers developing in the afternoon. High 36F. Winds SW at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of snow 40%.
