Michigan Ski Blog – Snow Reports

Since receiving a bit of new snow earlier this week, the Trapper’s Cabin, Rolling Hills, Wild Turkey, and Mackinaw Cut trails have just enough for classic rock skiing. None of the trails except the practice area have been groomed, as we need a bit more snow, and the skiing is better on the ungroomed snow at this point anyway.

The practice area has been groomed for skating and classic, and is perfect for lessons and demos, and just skiing around! If you don’t own classic rock skis, we have some available for rent. There is plenty of fun to be had in the winter woods, on rock skis or on snow shoes! The temps are looking cold enough for us to be able to make snow on Saturday and Saturday night. With a little help from Mother Nature (Monday perhaps!), we are hopeful that great ski conditions are in our near future! Keep doing your snow dance!

The Stone Turtle Cafe Lunch Special is the Pesto Perfection Panini – turkey or hummus, provolone, bell peppers, basil pesto, red onion, spinach and tomato – served hot on herb focaccia bread with Great Lakes chips and a dill pickle spear!

Our demo center is open and in full swing! Stop by to try some new cross country ski boots, skate skis, classic skis, or back country skis at no charge – then take advantage of the post-Christmas sales!!
