XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 03/10

The John Deere portions of the trails have the best conditions, with lots of snow coverage and good tracks!

The ski conditions range from fair to excellent on most of the trail system. Groomer Mike will snow comb the Mackinaw Cut, Wild Turkey, Trappers Cabin, and Rolling Hills trails this morning, and will be patching up the thin spots throughout the day. The John Deere portions of the trail are in the best condition, and have good tracks set. Some thin spots appeared on Wild Turkey and Rolling Hills from the afternoon sun yesterday; however, we hope to repair most of these with the remainder of our manmade snow. Overall it’s good spring skiing on most of the trail system, with the big bonus of no icy spots!

Forecast:

Today: A mix of clouds and sun early followed by cloudy skies this afternoon. High 32F. Winds NW at 5 to 10 mph.
