Michigan Ski Blog – Snow Reports

The temps got well below freezing last night, which really helped in firming up the snow, hail, and wintery precipitation we received throughout the day yesterday. This has created a new surface over the hardpack base, which is best described as foamy, re-frozen snow. While there is slightly too much moisture yet to successfully groom, the skiing conditions today will be the best they’ve been in over a week. There are not set tracks, but all trails except the Tall Pines trail are skiable on actual snow. There are icy spots and some bare patches, so please use caution. If the cold temps hold, there is a good chance that we can groom tomorrow morning. Overall, the snow is very good for skiing, and it’s a great day to get out there and embrace the return of winter weather!

Forecast:

Today: Occasional snow showers. High 29F. Winds W at 15 to 25 mph. Chance of snow 50%.

Tonight: Cloudy skies early, followed by partial clearing. A few flurries or snow showers possible. Low 19F. Winds W at 10 to 20 mph.

Tomorrow: Cloudy skies. A few flurries or snow showers possible. High 37F. Winds SW at 15 to 25 mph.
