Let’s go skiing!

In a stroke of genius, Tractor Bob headed out to the parking lot yesterday evening to create a small, yet totally skiable “runway” trail using the snow banks in the parking lot. This new “South Lot Trail” is big enough and has adequate snow coverage to demo both skating and classic skis. With the temps getting below freezing the next few nights, and 4-8 inches of snow forecast for Wednesday, we should be able to hold onto this nice patch of snow for a while, and maybe even have more skiing than that later this week!

We are pretty darn excited to offer ski demos this weekend, given the weather. Stop by and give the South Lot Trail a spin!

Today’s lunch special in the Stone Turtle Day Lodge is the Mediterranean Tuna Wrap. Albacore tuna, homemade hummus, feta cheese, tomatoes, spinach, red onion, artichokes, banana peppers, and kalamata olives, grilled to perfection in a giant tortilla wrap. Served with chips and a pickle as always.
