XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 03/21
As of 6:30am this morning the temperature was 37F. We still have enough snow on the Blizzard XC Ski park for trying out new skis, lessons, and a Paint Ball Biathlon today! The rest of the trails are in good shape for hiking and pole walking, but there is not enough to ski on.
The Paint Ball Biathlon starts at 11:00am this morning. Registration starts at 9:30am. The cost is $15 and includes a chili lunch and fun awards for all participants. This will be a very exciting, head-to-head, double elimination tournament. We will plan on having a Citizens division and an Open division, with the Citizens race being slightly shorter and more beginner friendly. Kids are welcome and may compete in either division. Both divisions will get plenty of chances to shoot paintball guns! Remember, this is a one day event and there is no race on Sunday.
