Boyne Mountain Snow Report – 12/29

Last updated: Monday 01:03 PM

WIND HOLD

Safety is our priority. As of now all aerial lifts are on wind hold, except Boyneland. The maintenance team will be monitoring over the next several hours. Based on the forecast, reopening additional lifts before 2pm seems unlikely as we are experiencing frequent gusts of wind over 50mph. The Estelle’s Way conveyor will continue to operate. Avalanche Bay and the Tube Park are open and ready for you!

**All guests with lift tickets without scan activity after 10:30am will automatically be issued a voucher for another day this season. Guests with questions can visit the Guests Services desk in the Civic Center or call Customer Care. Our team is ready to serve.

SkyBridge Michigan, SkyBridge Food Truck, and Zipline Tours will remain closed and reopen Tuesday.

Travel & Safety Advisory: Expect rapidly changing conditions with extreme winds and near-zero visibility. Allow extra time for driving and walking. Parking lots and walkways will likely be slippery. Dress in layers and take breaks to warm up. Your safety is our priority.

WINTER STORM WARNING

We picked up 6" overnight, and Mother Nature’s got 6-8" more on the way by Tuesday morning. The powder is primo, but high winds are blowing it around the slopes. Expect changing conditions and reduced visibility throughout the day.

Now through Tuesday night: A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow and wind. We are eyeing down 6-8 more inches of snow. Hellooo free refills. Wind gusts could hit 45 mph, making blowing and drifting snow with periods of whiteout conditions.

FIRST TRACKS

Starts December 26

For Season Passholders: Mountain Express opens at 8:30am on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and holidays. Get those fresh corduroy lines before anyone else.

Not a passholder? The Boyne Forever Foundation First Tracks Access experience gives same-day lift ticket holders the same exclusive early-morning lift access. It’s your chance to earn those turns and support a great cause.

SLOPE HOURS

Holiday Season

Daily passholder first tracks: 12/26-1/4

Regular Season Hours

HOLIDAY WEEK

The festivities are in full swing. Check out the activity lineup for all the holiday happenings across the resort.

And if you need to switch things up, head over to SkyBridge Michigan for Lights In The Sky, a winter experience featuring over 200,000 twinkling lights strung across the world’s longest timber-towered suspension bridge.

IMPORTANT SAFETY REMINDERS

Our snowmaking and grooming teams are actively working on closed terrain throughout the daytime hours. For everyone’s safety, please respect all closure signs and ropes. Uphill travel remains closed until further notice.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

Smart skiing means better days for everyone. Know the code, respect the mountain, and keep your head up. When you’re paying attention out there, families feel confident, experts can push their limits, and everyone gets the best of winter up north.
