Noquemanon Trail Network Cross Country Ski Report – 03/17

Ok, seeing as we are all excited to get another chance at skiing after that pretty serious early thaw, I’ll give another update for your Friday and weekend planning. I roller packed/combed Noque and Animoosh to 14k.

The same for Chiwagi Bypass and Mukwa…hit the little Papasay too in case the kids show up. I made many passes and it started to get solid. There was 10-12 inches of our favorite white stuff out there on Chiwagi Bypass. It is dense snow. Ken Davenport and I will take snow machine grooming equipment out in the morning. We will stall as late as we can to let things freeze up otherwise we will get buried and make a mess of the trails. I think we will groom from 6:00 AM until 9:00 AM, so if you have morning freedom wait until after that or longer.

It helps to give the trails two hours to set up (freeze) after grooming. There WILL be classic tracks. As always, watch for Sondo’s morning grooming report for current progress in the morning and of course for his literary dexterity.
