Tracks are firm, deep, and ready!

As of 7am it was 16F and just beginning to snow. Classic tracks on Blizzard, Trappers Cabin, Mackinac Cut, Wild Turkey, and Rolling Hills are firm and in great shape with a heavy dusting of snow from yesterday providing good grip. The skate lanes are all in good shape since yesterday’s ginzu grooming, albeit Tall Pines trail is a little more fast/icy than desirable. We are forecasted for snow showers all day today and into the night, with total accumulation of 3 to 5 inches! This is just what the doctor ordered to blanket the icy patches of Tall Pines as well as set new tracks on all the trails. Groomer Bob and Groomer Stu will be grooming today at pace with the new snowfall. We have a 5 to 9 inch base with 6 to 14 inches of snow in the woods.

Forecast:

Today: Snow showers early will become steadier snow for the afternoon. High 21F. Winds NE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow 90%. Snow accumulating 3 to 5 inches.

Tonight: Mainly cloudy with snow showers around this evening. Low 12F. Winds NNW at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of snow 70%.

Tomorrow: Overcast. High 23F. Winds NW at 10 to 15 mph.

Back by popular demand, today’s Lunch Special is: Turkey Pesto Panini: Sliced oven-roasted turkey, basil pesto, spinach, tomato and provolone, on Stone House Bread, grilled and golden and served with Great Lakes chips and a pickle! An all-time favorite! Of course Famous Chile and other great Paninis will also be served.
