XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 02/27
Kids get ready! We have plenty of snow for a great Muffin Race tomorrow morning! Registration begins at 9am.
The trails groomed up beautifully yesterday as they will this morning too. As of 7am the temperature was 25 degrees and the snow is ideal for XC skiing. Even though it is forecast to warm up to the low 40’s by this afternoon, the skiing will be great all day because of the coldness of the snow pack. Groomer Henry will start Ginzu grooming at dawn this morning. All 8 trails have deep set tracks and snow combed skating lanes. We have an 7 to 11 inch base, and there are
10 to 16 inches of snow in the woods. Excellent conditions prevail for classic and skate skiing on all trails!
Forecast:
Today: Partly cloudy. High around 45F. Winds SW at 15 to 25 mph.
Tonight: Partly cloudy skies this evening will become overcast overnight. Low 32F. Winds SW at 10 to 15 mph.
Sunday: Cloudy skies with a chance of rain later in the day. High around 45F. Winds SSW at 10 to 15 mph.
Monday: Snow showers in the morning will give way to a mixture of rain and snow in the afternoon. High 39F. Winds WSW at 15 to 25 mph. Chance of precip 50%. Winds could occasionally gust over 40 mph.
