XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 02/26

Blizzard Park looking good!

The dense 5-7 inches of snow we received Wednesday night and into Thursday morning groomed up absolutely beautifully with picture-perfect classic tracks and corduroy skate lanes. As of 6:45 this morning we have received a heavy dusting of additional snow overnight. Groomer Henry will snowcomb all the skating lanes early this morning. These are the best trails conditions we’ve seen in a few weeks. We have an 7 to 11 inch base, and there is 10 to 16 inches of snow in the woods.

Forecast:

Today: Overcast. High 29F. Winds WNW at 5 to 10 mph.

Tonight: Mainly cloudy. Low 22F. Winds SW at 10 to 20 mph.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy skies early will become partly cloudy later in the day. High 44F. Winds SW at 10 to 20 mph.

Today’s lunch special: The Spinach Artichoke Grilled Cheese sandwich! Homemade spinach artichoke spread (with jalapeños!), sliced tomatoes, and provolone cheese, grilled to perfection on Stone House Sourdough bread.

The Mason Tract is also freshly groomed and ready to enjoy!

It’s another fine day to be playing on the snow!
