Michigan Ski Blog – Snow Reports

We had 2 groups of high school kids enjoy an afternoon of XC skiing yesterday. Great fun!

As of 7 am we have received at least 3 inches of fresh snow and the snow continues to come down. It is fine dense snow and will groom up very nicely. Groomer Henry will start grooming early this morning, snow combing all the skating lanes and setting fresh tracks on all the trails. We have an 7 to 11 inch base, and there is 10 to 16 inches of snow in the woods. The first trails should be ready to ski by 10am. Great conditions!

Forecast:

Today: Snow will taper off this morning, leading to blustery and cloudy conditions this afternoon. High 27F. Winds NNW at 20 to 30 mph. Chance of snow 90%. Snowfall around one inch. Winds could occasionally gust over 40 mph.

Tonight: Cloudy. A few flurries or snow showers possible. Low around 15F. Winds NNW at 10 to 20 mph.

Friday: Overcast. A few flurries or snow showers possible. High 28F. Winds WNW at 5 to 10 mph.

Friday night: A few clouds. Low near 20F. Winds SW at 5 to 10 mph.

Saturday: Mostly sunny skies. High 44F. Winds SW at 15 to 25 mph
