Michigan Ski Blog – Snow Reports

Thanks to Paddle Hard Brewing, German Dave the Brat cook and the HQ crew for making the first annual “Ski the Beer Trail” a huge success!

Yesterday’s trail conditions ended up being much better than reported! Our major challenge was cleaning the debris off the trail from Friday night’s wind storm! The snow pack held up very well in spite of the warmer temperatures and we were able to Ginzu groom the skating lanes and set deep fresh tracks on all the trails except Mackinaw Cut and Wild Turkey by 7pm last evening. Groomer Stu will be starting at first light to clear and groom and set fresh tracks on Mackinaw Cut and Wild Turkey at first light this morning. We have a good 6 to 10 inch base and there is 7 to 14 inches of snow in the woods. For skiing this morning, the Rolling Hills trail was Ginzu snow combed and fresh tracks were set last evening and is in excellent condition. The Tall Pines trail was also Ginzu snow combed and fresh tracks were set last evening, but still has some pine needle debris so it is in very good condition. The rest of the trails are this morning’s grooming project and will have very good conditions.

Today: Morning flurries & overcast. High 33F. Winds N at 5 to 10 mph.

Tonight: Evening clouds will give way to clearing overnight. Low 11F. Winds N at 5 to 10 mph.

Monday: Sunshine and clouds mixed. High around 30F. Winds light and variable.

Tuesday: Partly cloudy skies. High 37F. Winds light and variable.
