XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 02/10

The local 4H skiers competed in the best ever 4H Olympics yesterday!

As of 6:45 this morning, it was 11F and lightly snowing. We received 1 to 2 inches of snow last night, and Groomer Kevin will begin Ginzu-snowcombing all the skating lanes very early this morning. After he snow combs, he will set fresh tracks on all the trails. We have a 10 to 13 inch base and there is 14 to 20 inches of snow in the woods on all 8 trails. Skating lanes are wide, smooth and excellent, and classic tracks should be great too.

Forecast:

Today: Variably cloudy with snow showers. High 13F. Winds NNW at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of snow 50%. Snow accumulations less than one inch.

Tonight: Cloudy with snow showers mainly during the evening. Low 4F. Winds NNW at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of snow 40%.

Tomorrow: Mainly cloudy. A few flurries or snow showers possible. High 18F. Winds NW at 10 to 15 mph.

The lunch special today is the Wild Turkey Panini! Oven roasted turkey, provolone cheese, red onion, banana peppers, spinach and honey mustard, grilled and served hot on Stone House Cherry Walnut bread, along side Great Lakes potato chips and a pickle! Also on the menu are Stu’s favorite Bosco Sticks and famous chili.

The skiing is wonderful! Come ski with us!

– Lynne, Bob, Mariah, Stu, Fran, Brian, Erin, Matt V., Ryan, Gage, Grant, Lexi, Michele, Michelle, Matt B., Carl, and the crew
