CROSS COUNTRY SKIING: (March 11) The entire park is open to both cross country skiing and snowshoeing. The Porkies welcomes snowshoers on the cross country ski trails as long as you do not destroy the tracks. You may also snowshoe anywhere
you would like off trail. Current conditions are wonderful for snowshoeing! Ranger Justin last groomed the trails on Wednesday, March 2nd and Thursday, March 4th. He reports the trails to be in spring condition with a base up to 24” and a few thin spots mostly under hemlock areas. For now, he is not grooming until more snow is received. Donations made directly to the park support this grooming effort and are appreciated. Envelopes are available at the trailheads. Thank you.
