Porcupine Mountains Snow Report – 12/19

Snow, Snow, Snow….. is falling daily as Mother Nature and Old Man Winter have teamed up to give us plentiful powder for the holiday season! It doesn’t get any better than this!

DOWNHILL SKIING
Opening this Saturday, December 19th for the season, with a 21” base! Hours are 09:30 am – 05:00 pm eastern time.

Chalet will be open with hot food, rentals and retail shop.

CROSS COUNTRY SKIING
Awesome Nordic skiing is in store this weekend, with a newly rolled base and Ranger Rick reports good trail conditions, with some wet areas. Tracks will be set in all areas suitable, before the weekend. Donations to the Park are accepted as this supports the grooming of these trails.

SNOWSHOEING
Early winter conditions make for fun adventures in the forest with snowshoes! Look for signs of wildlife such as deer, squirrels, owls, bobcat, otter, fisher and coyote. Even late season bear tracks may be spotted as they head to the den!
