We received a little over an inch of dense snow last night, which will spruce up the trail system for a fine day of spring skiing today. Groomer Stu will snow comb the Michigan Cup Loop this morning, which is in excellent condition and includes the Rolling Hills trail and part of the Trapper’s Cabin trail. He will snow comb the Mackinaw cut trail too, which is also in excellent condition. The rest of the Trapper’s Cabin trail is in decent shape with a couple of thin spots, Tall Pines is marginal, Wild Turkey and Adventure are fair, and Manitou is 70% good and 30% fair. Overall, conditions are good, and you can use your good skis on the Michigan Cup Loop and Mackinaw Cut trail with no problem. Unfortunately we did not receive enough snow to set tracks, but classic skiing is still really nice and easy to do even without tracks.

Forecast:

Today: Morning fog, then cloudy this afternoon. A few flurries or snow showers possible. High 39F. Winds NW at 5 to 10 mph.

Tonight: Cloudy with snow showers mainly during the evening. Low 24F. Winds N at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow 40%.

Tomorrow: Sunshine and clouds mixed. High 48F. Winds SE at 5 to 10 mph.
