Michigan Ski Blog – Snow Reports

After three days of warm temps earlier this week, we still have a base on about 95% of our our trails. The base that we do have is boiler-plate, but fortunately, when the temps finally cooled yesterday afternoon, we received an inch of new snow to blanket our base. Because of the high winds yesterday, there are also some sticks on the trails, and also because about 5% of the trails lost their base, ‘rock skis’ are recommended until our snow doctoring crew can work their magic today and tomorrow. The trails are open for classic and skate skiing today, but because our trail crew will be prioritizing clearing sticks and patching bare spots, the trails will be un-groomed in most parts today.

Forecast:

Today: Partly cloudy skies this morning will become overcast during the afternoon. High 33F. Winds WNW at 10 to 20 mph.

Tonight: Partly cloudy early followed by cloudy skies overnight. Low 14F. Winds NW at 10 to 20 mph.

Tomorrow: Cloudy. High 14F. Winds NW at 15 to 25 mph.
