XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 02/06
Fresh tracks after pre-seeding turned out great yesterday on the Blizzard Trail!
We received about an inch of snow last night. The great news is that, with the cold temps and even colder ground beneath the snow, the trails are firm enough for us to use the pre-seeder attachment on the tractor to grind up the ice and create a really nice, skiable surface to ski on. Bob completed the skating lanes and also reset tracks on the Blizzard and Rolling Hills trails yesterday. Mike will continue with the Wild Turkey, Mackinaw Cut, and Trappers Cabin trails today. It’s turning out even better than we expected, and with the bit of fresh snow on top, the skiing will be quite good today!

Today: Cloudy with snow showers mainly during the morning. High 27F. Winds NE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow 50%.
Tonight: Cloudy. Some mixed winter precipitation possible. Low 19F. Winds ENE at 5 to 10 mph.
Tomorrow: Expect periods of light freezing rain early…becoming heavier in the afternoon. High around 35F. Winds ESE at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precip 90%.
