XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 11/28

Good morning snow! Not enough to groom yet, but enough for some rock skiing fun! Bring your own, or rent some at the rental desk. Wear lots of orange and no dogs please, as we are hoping this will be our base for the entire season!! Have fun out there!!! 😝🤘❄️

First Ski Report of the Season!
by Mariah FryeNovember 28, 2021

Greetings, skiers and friends!! We are happy to report that the ground here in Higgins Lake has frozen, and we have received 2-3 inches of fresh snow in the past 24 hours. It is stunningly beautiful! While we will not be grooming the trails until we get several more inches of snow, you are welcome to use your rock skis out there (rock skis are skis your don’t mind running over rocks with). We do have rock skis available to rent – just head to the rental desk to get outfitted. Remember that it is still fire arm deer season, so be sure to wear orange, and note that trail signs will go up on December 1st. Please also kindly refrain from bringing your dogs with you, as this snow may very well be our base for the entire season!
