XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 04/04

Yesterday’s skiers were breaking trail. Todays skiers will have beautiful groomed conditions!

Today is a Pure Michigan Snow Day! Winter storm Ursula left us 6 to 8 inches of perfect snow! Groomer Bob already started packing the new Highlands Trail last evening and will be snow combing the skating lanes and rolling in fresh tracks early this morning.

The Highlands trail is made up of the parts of the Tall Pines, Wild Turkey, Mackinac Cut, Adventure trails and all of the Rolling Hills trail. It was laid out by yesterday’s skier from Ann Arbor who went as far as he could on all the trails before running into water hazards. The total length of the Highlands Trail is over 4 km. By 10 am we will have some great groomed Skating and Classic conditions!

Have you been missing those delicious tuna paninis? If so, you’re in luck! Today’s lunch special is the Mediterranean tuna panini: albacore tuna, hummus, red onion, feta cheese, kalamata olives and banana peppers grilled perfectly and served with chips and a pickle. Or… make it a wrap or a salad with fresh spring greens!

The End of Season Sale is underway with great values on X-C Ski packages and Winter, Spring and Fall Activewear.

Come ski with us! As long as there is skiable snow we will be open!
