XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 12/21

What a weekend! Thanks to everyone who came out to enjoy the great, snowy, northern Michigan outdoors. Temps were a little warm yesterday, but the snow pack on the trail is holding up very well. Groomer Mike will snow comb the entire system this morning, and reset tracks where he can. There are 5-7 inches of snow in the woods, and 2-5 inches packed on the trail, except for some thin spots on Manitou and Adventure.

*Holiday Hours:
Christmas Eve: open from 10:00am to 2:00pm
Christmas Day: Closed (trails open "on the house" but no grooming)
New Years Eve & New Years Day: Open normal hours

The Stone Turtle Cafe is open today for take-out and outdoor dining around our new firepits. Try a bowl of classic or vegetarian chili and a Bosco Stick!

The Demo Center is open! Choose from a large selection of skin skis, skate skis, and back country skis to "try before you buy" at no charge.

Last but not least, Happy Winter Solstice! Our Trapper’s Cabin Trail is lit with solar lights every night. All season sponsors are invited to enjoy the majestic experience of night skiing any night (headlamps are encouraged, too), and especially tonight on the solstice!
