XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 12/24

The view from the trail head this morning!

We received just over an inch of heavy, dense snow last night, and it’s juuuust enough for classic rock skiing on all trails except Manitou! We have not groomed the snow on the trails across the street, as the skiing is better on ungroomed snow at this point. The practice area has been groomed for skating and classic, and is perfect for lessons and demos, and just skiing around! If you don’t own classic rock skis, we have some available for rent. We are happy to have just enough snow for Christmas skiing, and we are snow-dancing like mad for more to fall later this week!

The Stone Turtle Cafe Lunch Special is the Pesto Perfection Panini – turkey or hummus, provolone, bell peppers, basil pesto, red onion, spinach and tomato – served hot on herb focaccia bread with Great Lakes chips and a dill pickle spear! A fresh batch of classic chili awaits as well!!

We are open today, Christmas Eve, until 3:00pm. We are closed on Christmas Day, but the trails are open "on the house." Shop will be back open on the 26th at 10:00am.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from all of us at Cross Country Ski Headquarters!

-Mariah, Stu, Bob, Lynne, Erin, Matt, Gill, Becca, Iain, Missy, Molly, Michelle, Josh, and the crew
