Boyne Mountain Snow Report – 03/23

Mother Nature isn’t ready to move onto spring quite yet! We have a MAJOR system set to move into the area tonight, and depending on the forecast, we could be in line to receive up to TWO FEET of snow!!  This could be some of the best late season snow in years, stay tuned…

Anyway, onto today. We are open today with four lifts, servicing 170 skiable acres spread across 20 different trails. Cooler overnight temperatures have allowed our outstanding operations teams to fire up the BOYNE Low-E fan guns this past weekend. As of this writing, the plan is to remain open daily through Sunday, April 3 before reassessing conditions to see if we can carry the season longer!

Coming up: Our annual Hemlock Open is set for the 2016 season! The event will be held on Saturday, April 2, and will consist of two runs on the North Boyne Slope, before heading back to the ‘Monupine’ for a nine-hole two-team scramble.  For those not ready to put the skis away quite yet but want to get the sticks out and swing, this is the event for you!

Park riders: We STILL have some of the best parks around. Go big off of our money booter on N. McLouth, session the rail and jib features in the Ramshead Terrain Park, or play in Fritz’s progression park on the Boyneland slope! We also have Olympian Karly Shorr coming out to ride our parks March 26 and 27.

Off the slopes: Don’t forget about Avalanche Bay Indoor Waterpark. With 88,000 square feet of wet and wild fun for all ages, the park stays at a toasty 84 degrees year-round! The Boyne Mountain Adventure Center has so many different ways for you to experience our resort! Whether you ride on a Fat Tire Bike, Fly through the trees on a Zipline Adventure Tour, or explore on a Horseback trail ride, we have something for you!
