Forbush Corner Cross Country Ski Report – 03/22

The weird concrete snow that we received from the last storm turned into sugar mush yesterday once it was groomed. It rained this morning and is close to freezing.

It’s to warm to groom with the Pisten Bully at this time. We are going to try to use the Tiddtech to smooth out the skate lanes on the loop. If the base is too soft for the snowmobile we will not continue grooming.

Classic tracks are icy at this. Colder temps tonight will allow us to groom on Monday. Base is in great shape with 100% coverage.

Ski Michigan

FROM Forbush Corner Cross-Country Skiing >> Ski trail extensions on Badlands, Cry Baby and Rollercoaster with a forestry mulcher were completed today! The Badlands extension bypasses Two Step hill to create a better flowing trail over undulating terrain and a longer, more gradual climb back into Badlands. On Rollercoaster, the turn at the end of Dorothy’s Dip has been lengthened to allow more run-out after the long downhill before turning back to the trail. On Cry Baby, the hard right turn after a downhill that we added last year, now has a longer runout before returning via a sweeping right hand turn. #forbush #whatsnew #SkiMichigan ...
