FROM Forbush Corner Cross-Country Skiing >> What a magical night for the inaugural Forbush Moonlight Snowshoe 5k! ❄️🌕
25 racers strapped on their headlamps and hit the Nordic trail system, winding through the Crybaby trail and Pines connector. We wrapped up the evening the best way possible: a roaring bonfire, Barb’s famous cookies, and plenty of hot chocolate.
A huge congratulations to our top finishers: 🏆 Patrick Howard (Male Overall Winner - 20:17) 🏆 Meagan Rinck (Female Overall Winner - 28:44)
A special shoutout to Tom from Tubbs Snowshoes for the support and for gifting two lucky finishers a brand-new pair of Wayfinder snowshoes!

FROM Forbush Corner Cross-Country Skiing >> Another snowy day, 4 to 8 inches today through 7pm tomorrow. The whole system was cleared yesterday and groomed for skate and classic. Definitely mid winter conditions. Nordic Pulse on the website is working again, please check for the latest grooming. Open 9 to 5 today. Be safe.

FROM Forbush Corner Cross-Country Skiing >> We received about 6 inches of dense system snow and some more lake effect snow over night. The new snow should groom up really well and make for some great skiing this week. We did receive some ice before the storm which created some leaning trees that will need to be removed and will slow down the grooming. The plan is to do the east side trails and pines loop. Time permitting we will also do the west side. It will take some time to get the grooming completed.
