The Highlands Snow Report – 01/02
Last updated: Friday 08:14 AM
CONDITIONS UPDATE: January 2nd 2026
Good Morning from The Highlands Team!
HAPPY NEW YEAR
It’s Friday, so let the 1st weekend of 2026 begin! It looks to be another chilly day on the slopes with a high near 20, and some gusty winds, so don’t forget the thermals. Come out early and stay late as we have another 9 AM to 9 PM shift on the slopes. Take some laps and then warm up on the warmest chairlift around, C6! We have tons of music choices today around the resort, so check out the lineup below. The roads continue to be snow covered and slippery, so allow extra time for driving. Parking lots and walkways will likely be slippery, so walk cautiously and be patient.
SNOWMAKING-GROOMING UPDATE
Our grooming and snowmaking teams have teamed up to knock out more runs for you to enjoy. Today we will add Leslie’s Quest and Black Diamond Glade, but ROSS RAVINE will be closed for snowmaking and groomers pushing snow in our North Peak Area.
RESORT EVENTS | REMINDERS
DJ Michael Wilford will be spinning the jams on the snow deck at the Day Lodge 12 PM to 4 PM.
Zoo Bar Winter Concert Series:
Riff Rider and Vista Cruisers 6 PM to 9 PM. Riff Rider & The Vista Cruisers are a popular Michigan-based band known for playing classic hits from the ’50s to ’70s, covering pop, rock, and Motown.
Slopeside Lounge:
Michelle Chenard 6 PM to 9 PM.

We also have Night Hikes to North Peak on select nights, which is always a favorite for the entire family.
