Valley Spur Trail System Cross Country Ski Report – 02/21

Another fine day for skiing today. Classic tracks are a few days old but are holding up well. They are firm and fast. Skate lanes are in nice shape as well. Would like to mention a couple things about safety on the trails. Our trails are one way for the most part with a short section on B and X being the only exceptions. With that said just remember if the classic tracks are on your right you are going in the right direction. This is a most important note as we see a fair amount of folks skiing up a downhill which can be quite dangerous for both skiers.

Lastly please take notice of the difficulty signage at all junctions to assure you are skiing a section that fits your skill level. Falling on hills is not only a risk for the person falling but also for the skiers that come later and have to try to navigate the damage done to the trail. Thanks and stay safe and have fun. In that order.
