The fresh snow on top of the man made base was groomed yesterday, yielding good to great conditions!

The skiing on the John Deere Loop yesterday was very good to great. The fresh snow made a big improvement to the ski surface, barring a couple of small icy patches. Today, Tractor Bob will be spreading snow along the couple of icy patches, and also extending the John Deere Loop out to Trapper’s Cabin! The plan is for him to groom everything at the end of the day. While we were unable to reset classic tracks with yesterday’s grooming, the existing tracks have been re-skied-in, and are holding up. We should be in good shape for Full Moon Night Skiing this Friday and the rest of the weekend!

Today: Mostly cloudy. High 34F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.

Tonight: A few clouds. Low 23F. Winds SSE at 5 to 10 mph.

Tomorrow: Sunshine and clouds mixed. High 46F. Winds S at 10 to 15 mph.

This Friday, join us for Full Moon Night Skiing and experience the magic of winter at nighttime! Ski along the Trappers Cabin trail, which is lit with rustic torches on this magical evening under the night sky. Enjoy a bonfire and free hot cocoa at Trapper’s Cabin, and venture out on the other trails under the light of the moon if you dare! (Or, bring/rent a headlamp.) Skiers who need to rent skis or snowshoes for Full Moon Night Skiing only (between 6:00 – 8:00pm) may do so for $12. Join us for an evening you’ll never forget!

Today’s Stone Turtle Cafe Lunch Special is Chili and 2 Bosco Sticks for $5! Hot, cheesy breadsticks dunked in your choice of classic or veggie chili is the perfect end (or beginning) to a cross country skiing adventure.

Also on the docket for this weekend is Get your Fill at the Grill – Fire on the Mountain! A sun deck barbecue featuring lean beef burgers, salmon burgers, and black bean veggie burgers, grilled to perfection and topped to your liking. Join us for the Free Ski Lesson this Saturday and every Saturday at 4:00pm!
