Results from yesterday’s grooming looking pretty good.

The extension of the John Deere Trail out to Trappers Cabin allowed for a great turnout of skiers for our Torch-Lit Night Skiing last night. Now just over 2km, the John Deere Trail still has good snow, though with the warmer temps, the afternoons do show icy spots. Bob will ginzu-snow comb the skate lanes this morning to fix those icy spots, and will re-set tracks where necessary. The skiing on the practice area is still great for demos and lessons. All trails are open for rock skiing and snowshoeing. Colder temps will roll back in tonight which will be a nice respite from this short warm-up.

Forecast:

Today: Cloudy skis early, then partly cloudy this afternoon. Morning high of 44F with temps falling to near freezing. Winds WSW at 10 to 20 mph.

Tonight: Clear to partly cloudy. Low 21F. Winds W at 5 to 10 mph.

Tomorrow: Overcast. High 28F. Winds NNW at 5 to 10 mph.

Now with good snow out to Trappers Cabin, there will be a roaring fire and hot cocoa being served today by our fearless Cabin Boy.
