Crystal Mountain Cross Country Ski Report – 01/30
Current conditions are better than expected, with good coverage everywhere. Hills are fast and icy, however. Track set is spotty and shallow, with lots of leaf litter in the wooded areas. Skate lanes will be firm and fast today! Our consistent grooming helps the trails to hold up despite temperature variations – and it’s Michigan outside, so they’ll variate. Rental equipment is available, and trail passes are required. Call the Kinlochen Pro shop at ext. 4000. PLEASE NOTE: Our XC trail system is for skiers only – no walking on these fresh tracks, please. Footprints ruin the packed, corduroyed skating lanes. For walkers, the Otter Run loop directly across from Kinlochen is a multi-use trail designated for walking as well as skiing.
New Snow: Trace
Snow Depth in Woods: 6+"
Packed Snow Depth on Trails: Up to 4"
