XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 02/13

The trails groomed up just beautifully yesterday. Groomer Butch was able to set deep tracks on all trails, and the skating lanes are firm and smooth. Groomer Mike will snow comb all trails again this morning. All trails are in excellent condition for skating and classic skiing!

Forecast:

Today: Partly cloudy this morning, then becoming cloudy during the afternoon. High 28F. Winds S at 10 to 15 mph.

Tonight: Some clouds this evening will give way to mainly clear skies overnight. Low around 20F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.

Tomorrow: Abundant sunshine. High 43F. Winds SW at 10 to 15 mph.

Today’s Stone Turtle Cafe lunch special is the Gourmet Grilled Cheese! Swiss, provolone, tomatoes and basil pesto, grilled to perfection on multigrain bread. Served with Great Lakes chips and a pickle for just $7!

Time to demo some skis! Conditions like these are just perfect for a well-waxed waxable classic ski like the Fischer Superlite Wax. Their lightweight, easy kick, and great glide will have you wondering why you waited so long to try these high performance recreational/fitness skis. We’ll camber test you, mark your wax pocket, and get ’em all waxed up for you – just show up and give them a try!

Enjoy this beautiful day!
