XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 02/18

We were very stoked with how many skiers got out and enjoyed the trails yesterday! We received a fresh dusting of snow last night, which will help freshen up the skate lanes and classic tracks today. Conditions remain very skiable on the trails that are open, with decent to good conditions and the occasional icy/crusty spot. Classic tracks were set on Friday on parts of Trappers Cabin and Rolling Hills, and all of the other trails still have existing tracks from Tuesday. Conditions are fair to very good on the Rolling Hills, Trappers Cabin, Wild Turkey, Mackinaw Cut, and Adventure trails. Groomer Mike will snow comb all of the above trails this morning. Until we get more snow, the Tall Pines, Blizzard and Manitou trails are closed due to ice and bare spots. The practice area are open with fair to very good conditions as well.

Forecast:

Today: Cloudy skies. High 37F. Winds SSW at 10 to 15 mph.

Tonight: A few clouds. Low 28F. Winds S at 10 to 20 mph.

Tomorrow: Cloudy with occasional rain in the afternoon. High 43F. Winds light and variable. Chance of rain 90%.

Today’s Stone Turtle Cafe lunch special is the Gourmet Chili Bar! Your choice of Classic or Veggie Chili, plus an assortment of delicious toppings. Try a homemade cornbread muffin and real butter with your chili and feel like a whole new person!

Get outside and enjoy the snow today!
