Crystal Mountain Cross Country Ski Report – 02/24

Pure Michigan’s temperature roller coasters can wreak havoc on the trails, but our groomers is out again today to scuff up the skating lanes and coverage is pretty darn good. No new tracks; we need more snow for that. Otter Run is closed to cross country skiers, meaning no night skiing for now. Our regular grooming habits help maintain good coverage and skiable conditions. Rental equipment is available, and trail passes are required. Call the Kinlochen Pro shop at ext. 4000. PLEASE NOTE: Our XC trail system is for skiers only – no walking on these fresh tracks, please. Footprints ruin the packed, corduroyed skating lanes. For walkers, the Otter Run loop directly across from Kinlochen is a multi-use trail designated for walking.

New Snow: 0"

Snow Depth in Woods: 8"

Packed Snow Depth on Trails: Up to 4"
