The temperatures are dropping at night and staying cool through the early morning. Frost covered the ground this morning which means soon enough it will be cold enough to make snow! First tracks of the 2010/11 are surely in your very near future!

The last month has kept us busy with preparations for the winter season and we can’t wait for the season to begin! Slopes have been mowed, snow guns are in position, lines tested and all systems are set to go. We are eagerly awaiting these night of low temperatures and a hearty helping of natural snow would be nice too. New this winter, we’ve added more Boyne Low-E fan guns to our snowmaking fleet. The proprietary technology in the Low-E guns allows us to make more snow, more efficiently and at marginal temperatures. This is extremely beneficial in helping us get the early start we’re all dreaming of. For park fans, six new features are in store this season; our new Twin Zip provides the longest single zipline ride in the state; and our cafeteria has gone green.

We’re targeting Thanksgiving weekend to open. What are you up for? Please check back soon for updates.
