XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 03/15

We received a dusting of snow overnight. Groomer Mike will snow comb the Trappers Cabin, Mackinaw Cut, Wild Turkey, and Rolling Hills trails today, which overall remain in very good spring skiing shape. The John Deere sections of trail (Trappers Cabin and part of Rolling Hills) are in the best condition, with full snow coverage, tracks set on most of it, and firm, smooth skating lanes. The rest of the Rolling Hills, Mackinaw Cut and Wild Turkey are in fair to very good shape, with some great stretches, and also some thin and bare spots. Manitou, Tall Pines, and Adventure are in marginal condition and would be good for classic rock skiing only. It is great to see skiers every day enjoying this great late season snow!

Today’s Stone Turtle Yoga lunch special is the Turkey Trot panini! Oven roasted turkey, provolone, spinach, tomato and onion, with mayo and mustard grilled on Stone House 7-grain bread. Served with Great Lakes Chips and a pickle!
Shop the March Madness Sale! Great specials on cross country skis and boots, including recreational and race skis and boots! Plus up to 40% off this year’s clothing from North Face, Patagonia, Columbia and more!

Ski while there’s snow!
