XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 04/05

Rolling in tracks on a beautiful April morning!

We are grooming!

We received a total of 6.5 inches of snow with the storm that hit on Tuesday night. After letting the snow firm up and get cold last night, Groomer Stu started rolling in tracks early this morning, and so far things are shaping up quite nicely. Tracks have been rolled in on Wild Turkey, Mackinaw Cut and Rolling Hills. He is currently rolling and snow combing those same trails for skate skiing, so we should have at least those trails ready for skate and classic skiing by 10:00am this morning. He will continue with the rest of the trail system throughout the rest of the morning. We are excited to say that conditions appear to be turning out pretty darn good!

The store and rental/demo desk will be open today, tomorrow and Saturday from 10:00am to 5:00pm. Come shop the end of season sale, or demo a new skate ski package! Our selection is strong and our prices our the lowest they’ll be all year. Also, check out our sale on SNS rental boots!

Hope to see you for another winter weekend of XC skiing in Pure Michigan!

-Mariah, Stu & the crew
