XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 04/08

With these great spring conditions, it is hard to stop skiing once you’re out there!

We were so happy to see all the skiers who showed up yesterday for a last hurrah (maybe?) on skis this winter. Great ski conditions were enjoyed by many! Groomer Mike will snow comb the skating lanes on Wild Turkey, Mackinaw Cut, Trapper’s Cabin, Tall Pines, and Rolling Hills. Skating lanes still have full coverage and are excellent. There are classic tracks on all of those same trails, most of which are great, but with some thin/bare spots starting to appear. The Manitou and Adventure trails are ungroomed due to thin and/or wet snow, but are still open for back country or rock skis.

The store and rental/demo desk will be open today from 10:00am to 3:00pm. Come shop the end of season sale, or demo a new cross country ski package! Our selection is strong and our prices our the lowest they’ll be all year. Spicy Chili is on for lunch!
Tomorrow and going forward, we are open when the “Open” flag is out, or by appointment – just call 800-832-2663 if you would like to come shopping. Trails will be open tomorrow and indefinitely while there’s snow, but we will not be grooming unless we receive more snowfall.

Have fun skiing!

-Mariah, Stu & the crew
