Thursday, December 2 – We’re proud to be first resort in N Michigan open for the third straight year. Thanks to those who came out and enjoyed the first runs of the year! All possible thanks to superior technology and the quality of the snow produced by the BOYNE Low-E guns, plus a great effort by our snowmaking crew!
We will not operate the lifts Monday-Thursday, but re-open on Friday. Lifts will operate from 9:00am-4:30 pm Friday-Sunday. We hope to resume snowmaking possibly tonight with the cooler temperatures in forecast. We are committed to making snow at every opportunity!
The last month has kept us busy with preparations for the winter season and we can’t wait for the season to begin! We’ve added more Boyne Low-E fan guns to our snowmaking fleet. The proprietary technology in the Low-E guns allow us to make greater quantities of quality snow, especially at marginal temperatures. This is extremely beneficial in helping us get the early start we’re all dreaming of. For park fans, ten new features are in store this season; our new Twin Zip provides the longest single zipline ride in the state; and our cafeteria has gone green.
