XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 01/08
Trail conditions yesterday were surprisingly good, considering the freezing rain throughout the afternoon! Luckily, the snow we received earlier in the morning held up very well, because it never got too much above freezing. That said, the snow on the trails today is still wet and the current temp as of 8:30am is 33 degrees. Because of this, we will not be grooming today, and we ask that skiers classic ski only on the trails across the street, and save skating for the practice area and Blizzard trail. More snow and colder temps are in the immediate forecast, though, so we should be able to snow comb and set fresh tracks tomorrow morning!
Today’s Stone Turtle Cafe lunch special is the Pesto Perfection! Your choice of turkey or hummus and double cheese, plus basil pesto and veggies on herb fococcia bread! And it’s always a good day for a chocolate chip cookie!
There are still lots of great skis and clothing on sale, stop in to peruse the selection, or have a ski specialist help fit you for the perfect ski package!
