XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 01/24
The woods are coated in white, and the trails are in great shape!
The snow has arrived and it keeps on coming! Total accumulation from Tuesday night through this morning is at least 6 inches. That gives us roughly 6 to 8 inches packed on the trail, and 8 to 10 in the woods. Groomer Butch will snow comb and reset tracks this morning on all trails. More snow is on the way today and tonight. Weather Forecast:
Today: Variable clouds with snow showers. High 23F. Winds W at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow 50%. Snow accumulations less than one inch.
Tonight: Variably cloudy with snow showers. Low 7F. Winds WNW at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of snow 60%. 1 to 3 inches of snow expected.
Tomorrow: Cloudy with snow showers mainly during the morning. High around 10F. Winds W at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of snow 40%.
Today’s Stone Turtle Cafe lunch special is chili and a Bosco stick for $5! Choose from classic or chipotle veggie chili and enjoy with a hot, cheesy breadstick.
Join us this weekend for a Free Ski Lesson on Saturday at 10:30am! And what goes perfectly with a day of cross country skiing? Burgers!! Get your Fill at the Grill is on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 3pm. Grill Cook Katrina will make a special appearance on the Stone Turtle Day Lodge Sun Deck to Fire Grill your choice of Salmon Burgers, Lean Beef Burgers or Black Bean Veggie Burgers. Choose your entree and Missy will grill it to perfection. If you dare, ask that your entree be cooked “Fire on the Mountain Style” – Grilled with sizzling hot sauce and topped with Jalapenos, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion and creamy Buffalo Blue Cheese dressing.
