Wide corduroy and deep set tracks make for marvelous conditions!

We received some lake effect snow yesterday, adding to the ~9 inches we received since midweek. That gives us roughly 7 to 9 inches packed on the trail, and 11 to 13 in the woods. It’s a real winter wonderland here in the north woods, with lots of snow and great skiing and snowshoeing! Groomer Mike will snow comb and reset tracks this morning on all trails. Excellent conditions abound for skating and classic on all trails! These are the best conditions we have seen all season!

Weather Forecast:
Today: Mostly sunny skies this morning will become overcast during the afternoon. High 11F. Winds SW at 5 to 10 mph.
Tonight: Snow showers will become more widely scattered overnight. Low 1F. Winds WSW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow 50%. Snow accumulations less than one inch.
Tomorrow: Cloudy skies. A few flurries or snow showers possible. High 4F. Winds WNW at 10 to 15 mph.

Today’s Stone Turtle Cafe lunch special is Get your Fill at the Grill from noon to 3pm. Choose between a Salmon Burger, Lean Beef Burger or Black Bean Veggie Burger, and grill master Katrina will cook it to perfection. If you dare, ask that your entree be cooked “Fire on the Mountain Style” – Grilled with sizzling hot sauce and topped with Jalapenos, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion and creamy Buffalo Blue Cheese dressing!

The sun will be out for most of the day – enjoy these pristine conditions!
