We received 5 to 6 inches of fresh snow throughout the day yesterday and last night, and it continues to snow this morning. The grooming team will be out early this morning to begin packing the trails with the roller, then setting tracks and snow combing. It will be a work in progress as we manage all the accumulation, and conditions will be soft but gorgeous! Snow depth in the woods is 20 to 22 inches, and after the grooming, packed on the trail we’ll have about 12 to 14 inches. Winter is truly here in the north woods!

Today: Snow this morning will taper off as a few snow showers this afternoon. High near 20F. Winds WNW at 15 to 25 mph. Chance of snow 90%. Snow accumulating 1 to 3 inches. Higher wind gusts possible.
Tonight: Partly cloudy skies early will give way to cloudy skies late. Low 12F. Winds SW at 10 to 15 mph.
Tomorrow: Snow showers. High near 35F. Winds SSE at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of snow 60%. Snow accumulations less than one inch.

Today’s Stone Turtle Day Lodge Cafe the Mediterranean Tuna Panini! Albacore tuna, feta cheese, black olives, banana peppers, sun-dried tomatoes, pesto and spinach on sun-dried tomato bread! Grilled to perfection and served with Great Lakes Chips and a pickle.

Join us for the welcoming reception for the Higgins Lake/Roscommon area’s Winter Fest! Torch-lit trails from 6pm to 8pm, plus a bonfire and hot cocoa at Trapper’s Cabin. Plus, fro 5:30pm to 7:30pm, feast on a nacho bar in the Stone Turtle Day Lodge, brought to you by Bob’s Butcher Shop in Roscommon. If ski rentals are needed, please arrive no later than 7pm.
Saturday, Feb 16th: Stretch & Slide – A Yoga Ski Retreat!

Join us for a yoga class starting at 10am, followed by group ski lesson and chili bar lunch! Ticket includes a XC ski or snowshoe rental and facilities pass as well. Cost is $45 ($35 if you have your own equipment). Click here
