Happy Saint Patrick’s Day! It was great to see so many skiers enjoying some fast, fun spring ski conditions yesterday. We received a bit more snow yesterday morning, so the majority of the trail network is fully covered in the bit of fresh snow ground up with crispy old snow, making for lots of glide for both classic and skating. The tracks are old and rock solid, and have just a bit of fresh snow left in them. As usual this time of year, the trail head is starting to get a bit slick, so please walk out past the ice to get started. Also, the Manitou trail has several considerable ice bridges, and should be avoided unless you are comfortable traversing sections of glare ice. The best trails are the Rolling Hills, Wild Turkey, Mackinaw Cut, Trapper’s Cabin and Adventure trails. Groomer Mike will snow comb all trails this morning.
