Shanty Creek Snow Report – 11/12

As much as we would love to be open for our fans, we decided we won’t open until Nov 29. This decision was made based on the 10-day forecast starting this Sunday, which is not favorable for snowmaking conditions through at least Nov 26.
For us to shut down snowmaking operations, move all our portable snow guns, and push out snow to open with a handful of runs would lose valuable snowmaking time. Simply put, it’s in our best interest to focus on making as much snow as possible throughout the weekend.
Believe me, we are as excited for the season as anyone. But our primary goal is to have the slopes of Schuss 100% open as soon possible.
