XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 12/14
The practice area is open today, with great, man-made conditions. Join us for the Saturday Free Ski Lesson today at 10:30, or the Jordyn Ross Ski Clinics beginning at 2:00pm and tomorrow at 1:00pm. Click here
to view the clinic schedule and sign up. The trail system across the street is not in good enough condition to allow for safe skiing just yet. Mike and Tony are working on spreading man-made snow, with hopes of having a skiable loop next week! Stay tuned. There IS good skiing close by, though! Forbush Corner, about 25 minutes north, has groomed trails that are open (note: there is a race there Sunday morning).
You can also demo skis all day today at HQ! There is no better way of picking out a new set of skis than trying them first. Work one-on-one with a ski fitting expert, today and every day of the week at Cross Country Ski Headquarters!

Interested in cross country ski racing, but not sure how to get into it? Join us tonight at 6:00pm for the Team XC Ski HQ Kick-Off Party! Welcome the race season with a potluck dinner (HQ provides the entree). We will discuss some exciting changes to the Michigan Cup Schedule, including the addition of a Michigan Cup Championship Race Weekend. We will also go over some news to be aware of in the ski waxing world, including use of fluorocarbons and liquid paraffin waxes. We will also talk about the Five Star Skier incentive to get every team member to compete in 5 full-points races this season! The team dinner is open to existing team members as well as prospective members.
