Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail Cross Country Ski Report – 12/15

With the warm weather and rain the past few days, much of the snow we had melted. So current conditions on the SBHT are poor with less than 1" of snow on the trail

Palmer Woods is higher elevation and has 1" of fresh snow over a 6" crunchy base. It has not been groomed. I skied all of the trails at Palmer Woods this morning and even though we had only 1" of fresh powder, the skiing was really pretty good.

Ski Conditions:

SBHT:
Ungroomed with little to no snow

Palmer Woods:
Ungroomed with 1" of fresh snow over 6" of crunchy base
Backcountry skiing was pretty nice
