Shanty Creek Snow Report – 12/21

Updated Saturday, Dec 21

What a week! The crew crushed it and today 100% of our groom-able terrain will be open—three runs need to be groomed still today. And with a little help from Mother Nature, the few remaining glade runs will be officially open too. (This is the only area we can’t make snow.)

On this Winter Solstice the slopes of Schuss Mtn will be open 9am to 7pm with temps topping out in the mid 30s. There will be seven lifts spinning today—the Purple, Yellow, Pink and finally, the Red Lift, plus Low Rider’s handle tow. And over on the bunny hill the Magic Carpet and handle tow will be running. So much new terrain… there will be 38 of 43 slopes open—approximately 92% of Schuss’s total terrain, and a full Monster Park on Purple Daze.

Don’t forget tonight’s Torchlight Parade and Fireworks over Schuss. The Tannenbaum Blitzen gets started at 6pm in Ivan’s.
