XC Ski Headquarters Cross Country Ski Report – 01/17

Morning light, fresh snow, and the quiet of the woods… this is what Pure Michigan XC skiing is all about!

We received another 2 inches of snow throughout the day yesterday and last night. Groomer Butch set fresh tracks yesterday mid-day, and Mike will reset today if needed, and will snowcomb all the skating lanes this morning. Great ski conditions for skate and classic are in store on the Trappers Cabin, Mackinaw Cut, Wild Turkey, Manitou, Adventure, and Rolling Hills trails this morning. Adventure and Tall Pines have been rolled and are open. There are 3 to 5 inches of snow packed on the trails, and 5 to 8 inches in the woods. Come out and enjoy this beautiful winter day on the XC ski trails!
