Photo from Thursday. There is still a lot of snow on the trails and in the woods!

We received mixed precipitation throughout the day yesterday, and due to the dampness of the snow we will not be grooming today. The great news is that the trails have full snow coverage and conditions, while a little slow, are still great. All trails were groomed yesterday, and classic tracks remain in great shape. There is 5 to 7 inches of snow packed on the trails, and 6 to 10 inches in the woods. Join us this weekend for a ton of fun events!

THIS WEEKEND: Join us for Bavarian Ski Festival!

When: Today, Jan 25th
What: German beer, giant commemorative beer steins, authentic German sausage and sauerkraut from Kern’s in Frankenmuth, games, costumes, prizes… and great skiing too! Dust off your Lederhosen and join us for a taste of the Alps, complete with Bavarian-themed games. Ski in unison with your team of three atop our giant pair of “Team Skis” in the Team Ski Time Trials, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Test your strength at Masskrugstemmen, with stein-holding contests for men and women starting at 4:00pm. We encourage all guests to dress in their best German attire for a costume contest at 4:30pm. Special guest German Dave will be serving the delicious Bavarian fare, including giant soft pretzels and German style potatoes! Don’t miss this celebration of heritage and winter fun!

Also, see the Half Wits perform live at the Stone Turtle Cafe on Sunday, Jan 26th! The Half Wits, featuring Wade Whittington and Patrick Harrison, perform live at the Stone Turtle Day Lodge from 1pm to 4pm. This dynamic duo specializes in a mix of classics and contemporary songs, with acoustic guitars, harmonica, and great singing. Grab a beverage, take a seat by the fire, and you’ll be singing along with these two in no time!
